So it has been 2 months to the day since I blogged on here, lol. I think I've been slacking a little bit :(
The past two months have been pretty busy. I've worked on scholarships like crazy, and visited some colleges, and stuff like that.
I finally decided where I'm going to college! So that's pretty exciting. I'm going to Oakland City University, which is the last place I thought I'd go, but I'm still pretty excited. It's just nice to finally know where I will be next year.
Prom is TOMORROW!!! Woohoo! I'm pretty excited :) I can't believe our senior prom is here already, it's going to be a blast!
Then after prom we only have like a month left until graduation. It's going by so fast! It's exciting but kinda sad and scary at the same time. I'm going to miss everyone, but I'll get to see a lot of people still since I'm not going far.
Anyways, I think I'm done on here. Hope everyone has a great weekend :)
God bless!

My Amazing Weekend...

So, this weekend was absolutely wonderful!!!
I had the opportunity to work a Chrysalis Flight girl's retreat, which is a place where you go just to learn more about God and grow in your walk with Him. I went on my Flight last year, and it was amazing! So after I was done I applied to work one whenever they needed me.
Back in December, I was called by Becky, the lady in charge, and asked to work this Chrysalis. I got to be an assistant table leader, so I got to spend a lot of time with the girls.
So Friday, right after school, I got all packed up, went to pick up Aubrey who was also working it, and we headed to Camp Illiana in Washington. We just spent the night preparing for the girls to get there Saturday.
It lasted Saturday through last night, and I just can tell how wonderful it was. There were a total of 42 girls that went, and there were 48 of us working. So it was a pretty full weekend.
The girls had an amazing time, and it was great to be able to be there for them. We even had one girl who wasn't a Christian yet and she got saved. God just did so much to help and heal those girls, and it was awesome! Every single person there was amazing, and I miss it so much already.
We would have loved to just stay there forever with all our amazing friends, but it's time to get out and "Let Our Lives Speak!"
Hope everyone else had an amazing weekend, good luck to everyone that did the Lilly interviews! God bless :)

First Full Day Back.....oh joy

Today is our first full day of school in almost two weeks.
I think I would prefer just to have delays every day for the rest of the year, I am over getting up this early in the morning, lol.
The week off of school was definitely nice. I stayed at home for the most part. I finally got out last Thursday to work. First I had to shovel all the snow out of our driveway though. The snowplow was nice enough to come through and clear our street. In doing so, however, he blocked all our driveways so we couldn't get out to use the nicely plowed streets.
My first day out of the house I had to go to work. It was pretty quiet, and went by very slowly.
I enjoyed my time at home though. My mom and I watched Gilmore Girls, Pride and Prejudice, and 27 Dressed over the course of several days. Of course I also had to work on scholarship applications, they just never end. Friday, though, I got to go sledding, which was great!
Anyways, this weekend is pretty busy. I am leaving right after school to go to Illinois, which means that sadly I can't go to Homecoming tonight :(
I have to go to Millikin University for their Scholarship Competition and an Honors Program interview. I'm a bit nervous, but not too bad.
We are coming home Saturday night, and then Sunday for the second week in a row I am playing piano during church service. I was extremely nervous last week, but this week not so bad. I get to pick the songs out, which is actually pretty fun.
Well, class is about over so I'm gonna go ahead and end this. Hope everyone has a great weekend, God bless!
:)

So.....I am sitting here in speech, no longer college english, 1st period.
It is definitely pretty boring at the moment, so I figured I would post since I haven't since before Christmas break.
School is going to be over in less than 4 months, it's crazy! We had a senior meeting the other day talking about graduation and all, and it was kinda scary.
It's exciting though.
I'm still not sure where I will be going to college, I guess it all kinda depends on scholarships and stuff.
I'm looking at Millikin University, Bethel College, and Oakland City University. I still have to go to Bethel and Millikin for their scholarship competitions over the next two months.
I am guessing we may not have school tomorrow, because we are supposed to get a bunch of snow tonight. Hopefully we don't get any delays or anything Wednesday, though, because that's when we're going to see "To Kill A Mockingbird!!!!" Hooray!
Well, I better get off here, because it's almost time to go. Until next time, God bless and have a great week :)

Walking in a WInter Wonderland...well sortof...

So I realize that I have been slacking and haven't posted a blog on here for almost a month, oh no! lol...So I figured I should change that.
First of all, I will say that I am absolutely thrilled because we are getting out at noon!!! That is a wonderful start to the week :) It is supposed to be getting icy, cold, and possibly snowy. I am really hoping for snow. When it's this cold I like there to be a reason for it. Snow always looks so pretty so I am ready for it to come.
Moving on, this past month has been pretty busy. I've been doing different scholarship stuff, I went on a college visit, and lots of other things. I got to go bell-ringing with Bekah on Friday at Pamida, then I did a 30 hour fast with my youth group. We went bowling Friday night which was pretty fun. Then Saturday I went to a meeting for the retreat I am working in February. After that I went home and took a LONG nap. Then I went to the church and we had a ton of food since our fast was over, and after that I got to babysit.
Yesterday I went to church and just hung out with my family. Then last night we had the Children's Christmas play at church. I played piano before it started while everyone was sitting and waiting, and everything went pretty good.
This week should be pretty good. I don't really have any finals that should be too terrible. Then it's time for Christmas Break!!! I can't wait! It will be great to have two weeks off, plus I love Christmas. Also, we are going up north for a few days over break. I get to see my grandparents and a bunch of my friends.
Well, I suppose I am going to get off here now. Hope everyone has a good week :)

Oh Deer!!!

So, last night, I definitely hit a deer.
I was on my way to school to help set up for the NHS induction ceremony, and I was like 30 seconds away from school. All of a sudden there was something brown in front of me and Crash! I didn't even know what happened until it was over. I didn't have any time to slow down, so I hit the deer going like 55. It smashed in the front of my car and one of my headlights, and went up and over and smashed my windshield, and both airbags went off. Plus, apparently it hit something with the horn because the horn would NOT turn off. It was quite annoying.
So a guy ended up calling 911 and the ambulance came and they had to check me out. Thank goodness Becca drove by and had her mom pull over so she sat with me until my mom got there.
Finally after we finished things up with towing and the police I was actually able to make it to the ceremony in time. It went really well.
All I have to say is one of God's angels was definitely watching over me, because my parents were always telling me I needed to move my steering wheel up more because if the airbags went off they could hurt my ribs or stomach. And the crazy thing is yesterday morning on my way to school for some reason I decided to move it up. I just thought that was pretty crazy.
Anyways, thats about it. Just thought I should write about the fact that I no longer have a car :( haha....But it'll all be ok. Hope everyone has a great week, and watch out for deer!

Exhaustion......

So I am writing a new post because Mrs. S said to...although chances are I will not remember any of what I am writing right now.
I am sooo tired and out of it right now. I haven't gotten to bed until between eleven and twelve every night this week. And leave it to say I do not function well on a funky sleeping pattern. I like catching myself plenty of Z's.
So the reason for my lack of sleep would be the fall play, which is going really well. I am having lots of fun with it, and it hasn't been too stressful, just a bit at times. But I have tried to stay really organized so I can keep stuff going smoothly as much as I can.
The play is this weekend, and I am a bit nervous but very excited. The good side of being so busy worrying about stuff backstage is I don't even have time to think about getting nervous for my small speaking part, woohoo!
Well, I guess I am going to go. Hope everyone has a great week and weekend :)

My Fantabulous Weekend...

This weekend was definitely amazing.
I got to go up north to visit my grandparents and friends from my old school, and I hadn't been up there since May.
We got up there late Friday night, and just spent time talking with my grandparents.
Saturday, I got to sleep in for the first time on a Saturday since soccer ended. Then I woke up and worked on writing out some stuff for the fall play. When my mom got back from having breakfast with a friend, me, Mom, and Grandma went to Kokomo for the afternoon. We went to the Mall and I got some new clothes. Then we went out to eat at Panera Bread, the best place ever! We had a really fun time.
When we got back I started getting dressed for the party I was going to. My friend Bailey was having a Halloween Dance party that night, and I was going with my friends Suzie, Maggie, Megan, Claire, Jessica, Mandy, and Bethany, who I hadn't seen since Winter Formal at Maconaquah two years ago!!!
I went to Suzie's and helped her figure out a costume. Then Bethany came over and we all just hung out for a while. Then we headed over to Mandy's house to meet up with the rest of the gang. I was a hippie, Bethany was white trash (she wore a white trash bag and wrote "white trash" on the front, lol), and everyone else was dressed like the 80's.
We went to the party for a while and had a blast. Then we headed home. Bethany, Suzie, and I hung out at Suz's house for a while. Then eventually I left and went to Missy's house for the night.
Sunday we went to church, and it was great to see everyone. After that we had to pack up and head out.
The weekend was awesome. The only complaint I had was not getting to see my best friend Jay, who I've seen pretty much every time I've gone up since I moved. But it was still an amazing weekend, and I'm really glad we went up.

Busy busy...

So school and everything is pretty hectic right now.
Not bad though, just busy. The fall play is in less than two weeks, aahh!! That's getting a little stressful, but it's still really fun.
This weekend was pretty busy. Friday I went trick-or-treating for Unicef for Key Club. It was pretty fun. I had to be home pretty early though because I had SATs the next day.
So Saturday morning I got up early to go to Princeton and take the SAT. It was LONG! I had already taken it before, but I wanted to take it again to see if my score went up at all. I guess I'll find out in a few weeks.
After that I went with my family to Jasper to look at a car. I was so out if it though, the SAT completely exhausted me. After we got back I went and spent the night at Cat's house, we just sat around being lazy and watching t.v., and it was great :) lol
Yesterday I went to church, then I went home and took a nap which was amazing, because I never take time to take naps. Then my family and I went and got McDonald's and ate at Hornady Park. Then I went to youth group.
So that pretty much sums up my weekend. This week is going to be pretty busy. Tonight I have play practice, but I'm going to be a little late because we have our soccer banquet.
Then we have practice again tomorrow and Thursday.
This coming weekend is going to be great though! We are going up north where I used to live, and I get to see a bunch of my friends. My friend Bailey is having a Halloween Dance Party, and I'm going with some of my friends that I haven't seen for about 2 years. I can't wait!
I guess that's all for now. I will try to write again soon, probably next week I'll tell about my weekend again. Later :)

Macbeth

On Friday we went to see the play Macbeth at IRT in Indianapolis.
I really enjoyed it. They did a really good job producing the play. The actors and actresses put so much emotion into it. The middle-age witch was almost too good, she was pretty creepy sometimes. At times it was hard to understand what was going on because Shakespeare's language is so different from ours, but they did a pretty good job acting everything out so we knew what was going on without them having to outright tell us.

So yah....

Today is a PBA day first of all, woohoo!
That being said, this week is actually going pretty fast. A little crazy and busy, but still good.
Our soccer game got cancelled yesterday, but I think lots of us were relieved because lots of the girls are sick or just tired, and it was nice to have a night at home.
Today we have practice, and then tomorrow the team is going to Mr. Gatti's for dinner, it's going to be really fun :)
We may be starting play practice this week. I'm really excited but a bit nervous. Mr. Hays asked me to be stage manager, which apparently can be really stressful. But it will still be really fun. It's my first time being involved in the fall play so I'm excited.
This weekend is going to be really fun. Friday is senior night at the football game. Then Saturday I am going to Holiday World with Brittney and Fia. I haven't been there for over a year, so I can't wait.
Well I guess that's about it.....until the next blog :) God bless

Camp Carson

So this is a little late, but I decided I would write and tell about our trip to Camp Carson on Monday.
I am in Peer Facilitating, which is a group where we go and work with the sixth graders to help them adjust to middle school. Monday Mrs. Barrett took us to Camp Carson, which included lots of team building activities to helps us learn to work together as a team.
So Monday we all piled on a bus and headed to camp. When we got there first we just talked about different things we can do to help the sixth graders. Then we started some games.
The first thing we did was with a jump rope. We had to run through it, run through and jump over it, and then do it with a partner blindfolded. It got kinda tricky at times, but it was still really fun.
After that we did an activity with a marble and some PVC pipe which I won't really talk about, I'm pretty sure we all prefer to forget it because we hated it, lol. It took FOREVER!
After that we headed outside to The Wall. It was I think about 10 feet or so, and we had to get everybody up and over it. We did it really quickly.
Then we headed to the Alpine Tower, which is a 44 foot tall obstacle course type thing that you climb up. This was my favorite part by far. We had to wear harnesses, and they taught us to belay for each other. So basically we had each other's lives in our hands, which was a bit scary. But we did really good, and nobody got seriously hurt.
Camp Carson was definitely an awesome experience, and I am really glad we got to go. I just wish we could go back again, lol.

Lifehouse Everything Skit

I have always loved this video. A friend showed it to me over a year ago and I thought it was awesome. First of all, I love the song. Lifehouse is one of my favorite bands, and they sing this song which is called "Everything." I have always enjoyed their music so that is part of why I loved this video so much.

Also, I love the skit itself in this video. It shows how people go through so many things, and how Jesus is there with you trying to help you the whole time. But we get too distracted by things that we think we want, and then they only end up hurting us. The whole time He is there fighting for us. Eventually we finally get so deep that we just give up, and He's right there. I just thought it was an amazing video and can be very encouraging and uplifting.

Blah...

So I am sitting in English (I capitalized it Mrs. S! haha) and I am waiting while some people are finishing up their notes.
This week is going pretty fast so far. It's been very busy.
We have four soccer games. We played Northeast Dubois on Monday and did really good. Yesterday we played Booneville and it wasn't quite so good...Tomorrow we play Gibson Southern, and then Saturday is South Spencer.
This morning we had Prayer around the Flagpole, which is sponsored by FCA. It went really well, we had a pretty good turnout.
I am really excited and ready for next week! Monday we are going to Camp Carson for PF, and its gonna be awesome!!!
Well, I guess I am going to go. I'll try to blog sometime again soon :)

first post, woohoo!

So I guess I should probably do a post on here. We are doing these blogs for english class, and I really like it so far. I still need to fix it up a lot more. It looks a little plain as of now. Anyways, it's senior year, yes! It's kinda weird not having all the seniors from last year here. I am definitely enjoying school so far, although I could do without Calc, lol. But the classes are fun for the most part. I'm getting really excited about starting college. I'm planning on going to USI, but I'm still checking out other places. That's my main choice right now though. Soccer is going good, even though we still haven't won any games :( We will soon hopefully. We are playin Princeton tonight. Anyways, I guess I'm gonna go mess around with my blog a bit more to make it look more purty :) lol..toodles!
