Camp Carson

So this is a little late, but I decided I would write and tell about our trip to Camp Carson on Monday.
I am in Peer Facilitating, which is a group where we go and work with the sixth graders to help them adjust to middle school. Monday Mrs. Barrett took us to Camp Carson, which included lots of team building activities to helps us learn to work together as a team.
So Monday we all piled on a bus and headed to camp. When we got there first we just talked about different things we can do to help the sixth graders. Then we started some games.
The first thing we did was with a jump rope. We had to run through it, run through and jump over it, and then do it with a partner blindfolded. It got kinda tricky at times, but it was still really fun.
After that we did an activity with a marble and some PVC pipe which I won't really talk about, I'm pretty sure we all prefer to forget it because we hated it, lol. It took FOREVER!
After that we headed outside to The Wall. It was I think about 10 feet or so, and we had to get everybody up and over it. We did it really quickly.
Then we headed to the Alpine Tower, which is a 44 foot tall obstacle course type thing that you climb up. This was my favorite part by far. We had to wear harnesses, and they taught us to belay for each other. So basically we had each other's lives in our hands, which was a bit scary. But we did really good, and nobody got seriously hurt.
Camp Carson was definitely an awesome experience, and I am really glad we got to go. I just wish we could go back again, lol.
